Tuesday night just after Josh and I had gone to bed Eleanor woke up crying and didn’t want to go back to sleep. I was exhausted and had a glass of wine shortly before bed, so Josh got up and I fell asleep. I guess he got her back to bed about forty-five minutes later and she slept through the rest of the night. It wasn’t until the following evening when Josh noticed that she had two new teeth coming in. They are her bottom left and top right canines. They have both just broken through the gums, so I’ll try to get a good picture once they’ve come in a little more.
When Josh told me he had seen them, I asked her to say “ahhh” so I could look. I did and said “oooh they’re coming in!” Immediately afterward she grabbed my face, put her thumbs into the corners of my mouth, pulled down my bottom lip, looking into my mouth and yelled, “coming in! coming in!” What a funny girl!

How many teeth total is that now? Did any of them come in as gold teeth? The world’s first natural grill? Eleanor is the dang best
I always feel so bad when Oliver cries and cries and cries at night, even while we are holding him/rocking him, and then I see new teeth in the a.m. I’m like: OOOOOH, so that’s why you were upset! I’m glad Eleanor went back to sleep and that she sees new teeth for you, too.
