I promise I’ll give you all the full details of Eleanor’s illness on Monday, but for now I’ll show you the cute stuff we got to buy because of it. Because Croup is a respiratory virus the doctor recommended that we use a humidifier. Which would be great because a year and a half ago we did a bunch of research and bought a really good programmable one with sensors and all the bells and whistles. Except that last week Eleanor broke it. I don’t know exactly how it happened, Josh was there not me, but I guess she pulled the tank off of the thing and then dropped it cracking it so it won’t hold water anymore.
Anyhow, we’ll eventually replace it, but in the meantime I needed something quick so I headed over to Target and bought the most adorable humidifier they had (it even says so right on the box). I have no idea how well it works. I mean water vapor comes out of the thing, but no programming, no sensor, none of the fancy stuff. But I guess it works for our purpose of letting it run for a while before Eleanor goes to sleep and letting her breathe the vapor for bit. But really who cares. It is just too dang adorable to care if it works.
It’s an elephant!
That spouts vapor from his trunk!
Oh my goodness with the adorable!
Up next is this little cutie.
On day two of her illness, I could tell that Eleanor was running a pretty high fever. All of her skin was hot to the touch, but I soon discovered that our thermometer was broken. So off to Target once again to get this fantastic ear thermometer.
Which comes in this great little egg case. How cute is that! And it’s yellow, which I think is the color I have finally decided on for the bathroom. So it will match (if I ever actually buy new towels and accessories)!
Again, who knows how well it works, but it’s so cute who cares!
And it’s so easy to use even an almost two year old can do it!
p.s. We have an exciting weekend ahead! Josh is getting a long, long, long overdue haircut and our dear friend Brian is visiting us from Philadelphia! Of the two, clearly we are most excited about Brian. Brian is Josh’s best friend. He is by far the smartest, funniest, and most interesting (and probably the tallest) person we know. He is definitely on my top five favorite people in the world list (immediate family not included). We are always so happy to see him which is only once or twice a year since he is finishing up his PhD in History at Penn. Hopefully I’ll get some good pictures of him bonding with Eleanor to show you all next week.

Ooooh, I love the little elephant humidifier. Very cute. We have one that’s a eye sore!
Eleanor’s hair is sure getting long. It looks a lot like this high school skater boy I see on my bus in the morning.. although Eleanor doesn’t have the awesome peachfuzz moustache.
Why is Josh getting a haircut? It’s looking so great kinda long. What a handsome man.
have fun with brain
