After last week’s Saturday Song I started thinking about my favorite songs about Los Angeles. I came up with my very favorite. Here it is for your listening and viewing pleasure, The Decemberists live at the Hollywood Bowl accompanied by the LA Philhamonic, performing Los Angeles, I’m Yours:

p.p.s. A little Making Me Cranky trivia for you. I doubt anyone has guessed this and I don’t think I ever mentioned this before, but the name of this blog, Making Me Cranky, is in tribute to this song. “But oh, the smell of burnt cocaine, The dolor and decay, It only makes me cranky.”

Sometimes I forget how much I like the Decemberists. Great songs. And also seeing them at the Hollywood Bowl with the LA Phil must have been awesome
