Hi there! We’re the Keegan Gross family (no hyphen please), Maggie, Josh, Eleanor, and George! I, Maggie, write most of the content here at Making Me Cranky. Josh does all the web design, other tech stuff, and once in a while writes a hilarious post after a sufficient amount of badgering from me. He’s the real writer in the family, but he’s also the laziest member of the family.

We both grew up and still live in the suburbs of Los Angeles and both attended UCLA. We got married August 7, 2004. And had our first baby, Eleanor, on December 7, 2007, and our second, George, on April 12, 2012.

Eleanor is the love of our life, a constant source of happiness and hilarity. She’s also the major source of all the Crankiness in our life, although George is starting to rival her in that respect. At the end of the day we can’t wait until her bedtime, and as soon as she is asleep we miss her and want to wake her up to play! She’s loud, wild, stubborn, fiercely independent and very sweet!

George is…well, George is new, so we’ll have to wait a little while to see what he’s like. I mean, besides the sleeping, crying, and pooping.

Josh is pretty much a total nerd. He designs websites part time and has a day job in higher education. He enjoys cooking, reading, listening to podcasts and annoying me. He’s also a bit of a complainer and adds that certain special pessimistic touch to our family to balance out my obnoxiously sunny and optimistic attitude.

I used to be pretty punk rock, but am now a little less punk and a little more Martha Stewart. After graduating from UCLA I went to Pepperdine Law School. After a brief stint as an Estate Planning attorney, I decided to follow my passion and and make my part-time portrait photography business, Maggie Keegan Gross Photography, a full-time job and I couldn’t be happier getting to do what I love!

We hope you enjoy reading about our hectic life, or you know, whatever I feel like writing about!
