Josh got me the best gift ever for graduation. I had been asking for one for at least four years and am so excited to have it so that I don’t have to keep my jewelry in the collection of smaller boxes I have been using.

It was very hot, we wore big Harry Potter robes that we sweated profusely underneath, and the speeches were too long and too many, but at least its over.
My family all came, including my 92-year-old grandfather.
Eleanor looked like a movie star in her sunglasses and floppy hat.
Afterwards we all went to lunch at my favorite Malibu restaurant Taverna Tony.

Mother’s Day

We celebrated my first real Mother’s Day last weekend with Eleanor’s first restaurant dinner Saturday night with my mom. She was very good throughout the meal. She slept at the beginning of the evening and then joined in the conversation at the table.
On Sunday in addition to celebrating Mother’s Day we celebrated my step-mother Leila’s birthday.
Eleanor had a good time with the family again joining the conversation at the table.
Grandma Leila introduced Eleanor to the doggies, an Irish Wolfhound and a Lab.
