Today is my Dad’s birthday! Happy Birthday Daddy! We celebrated last Saturday night with a bowling party. Eleanor loved seeing her Grandpa Keegan and Grandma Leila, and her Aunt and Uncles, as well as my Aunt Kathleen and Uncle Nick. Eleanor did not love being kept from running free. We spent most of the evening keeping her off of the lanes.
Now that I’m not studying anymore we are trying to do something fun and free every weekend. Last Saturday we went to the Getty museum which is almost free, free admission but ten dollar parking. They had a photography exhibit I wanted to see. It included portraits from some of my favorite photographers, Diane Arbus, Walker Evans, and Lewis Hine and had some neat daguerotypes inlcuding a portrait of Edgar Allen Poe. Eleanor showed no interest in the exhibit, but was thrilled to get to run around on the grass with the other kids and to walk through the garden trying to eat dirt.
Now that I don’t have to study anymore, my mom (Eleanor calls her Go Go) isn’t over as often, so we decided to go to visit her last week. Eleanor got to check out the plants in her garden and look for fish in the pond.
