Sesame Street

Posted by: Maggie

Since everyone else is posting about Sesame Street today, I thought we’d jump on the bandwagon.

As I said in my last post, Eleanor looooves the theme song. Here she is, dancing away to it while trying not to be distracted by me pointing the camera at her:

Here is one of Josh and Eleanor’s favorite guest appearances:

This one’s my favorite:

Saturday Morning Cartoons

Posted by: Maggie

Even though Eleanor has no interest whatsoever in the television (unless music comes on, but I’ll write a post about that later), Josh and I have been watching Saturday morning cartoons for fun.  We have a new favorite:

It is about a boy named Flapjack and his friends, a talking whale named Bubbie and a salty sailor named Captain K’nuckles. The three get into all sorts of trouble in their constant search for Candied Island while K’nuckles teaches Flapjack how to be an Adventurer.

You should all check it out. Andrew I know you would love it. It’s on Cartoon Network saturday morning at 8am.

Here’s a little taste for you:

Moving

Immediately upon returning from taking the Bar we had to start packing.  We hadn’t planned on moving, but when our lease came up for renewal they wanted to raise our rent by almost $100 per month.  We really liked where we were living, but just couldn’t afford to stay.  So we found a place in Woodland Hills that is a little bigger, two bathrooms rather than one, a slightly larger kitchen, and a walk-in closet in Eleanor’s room, and is about $150 cheaper per month than it would have been to stay. So we packed all weekend and moved the following Monday.

Eleanor is a good helper so we let her pack the fragile items:

I don’t think I mentioned it in an earlier post, but about a week or two after she started crawling she began pulling up on everything and doing what the baby books call “cruising,” which is walking holding on to furniture. She is a pro now and we are pretty sure she’ll be walking in about a month. She is already able to stand up for a few seconds at a time without being held or holding on to anything, but when she realizes that she’s doing she looks worried and slowly sits down.

It was pretty crappy to have to move, but Josh and Eleanor made sure to take some time out for belly kisses.
